LEASING MANAGER

Position Summary:

Raider Hill is seeking a Leasing Manager to assist with the firm’s leasing and transaction activity. The Leasing Manager will work with our leasing team to prospect for tenants, prepare lease proposals, review lease language, compile marketing materials, and assist with tenant negotiations. Our leasing team is responsible for a national portfolio with more than 7 million square feet of vacant retail space. This position provides exceptional professional exposure to the firm’s investment and advisory activities, as well as high-level executives at industry leading companies, with a balance of internal and external facing responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have 3 or more years of experience in retail real estate leasing, exhibit professional maturity, exceptional organizational skills, and an acute attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Raider Hill’s leasing team by tracking all leasing and disposition activity, corresponding with retailers, investors and developers, and preparing necessary marketing materials for tenant portfolio reviews.

  • Communicates and coordinates with counsel to have documentation prepared incorporating the terms agreed upon; works with the construction department in all aspects of the deal, from initial LOI through delivery and opening.

  • Participate in the creation of leasing budgets and leasing assumptions to ensure timely completion of deals creating long-term value for the portfolio.

  • Consults with asset management for an estimate of CAM charges and taxes and to gather property specific information.

  • Assist in preparing materials for any leases that need Investment Committee approval.

  • Attends leasing conventions and other industry events to represent Raider Hill.

  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of retail industry and trends; seeks to learn latest information of retail industry, merchandise and tenants; through trade journals, conventions, newspapers, & personal networking.

Work Conditions:

  • Nature of work requires ability to organize, communicate and exchange information as well as collect, compile, and prepare work documents while operating standard business office equipment.

  • Work is performed in a general office environment.

  • May require extended hours during peak periods.

  • Domestic travel will be required.

Qualifications:

  • 3 or more years of retail real estate experience in leasing, working with local, regional and national tenants (“big box” experience is preferred).

  • Bachelor's degree in business, real estate, marketing, finance or a similar field is preferred.

  • Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients and retailers across a broad spectrum of categories and price points.

  • In-depth knowledge of deal structures and lease terminology including the ability to understand the current and future impact of all negotiated decisions.

  • Must be a team player with a strong work ethic and demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the demonstrated ability to present effectively one-on-one and in groups.

  • Proven ability to manage and communicate effectively with all levels of employees, customers and stakeholders.

  • Ability to multitask with strong problem solving, organizational and project management skills.

  • Excellent technical skills and demonstrated working proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically, Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
